The Long Island BMW Riders club rode again yesterday (Saturday September 9, 2018) to the northern reaches of Connecticut.  First we rode up through New York and then back down to Kent, CT on some extremely beautiful twisty back roads.  We stopped in Kent for a break of some coffee, gas and camaraderie.

After our stop in Kent we proceeded (via backroads once again) to our food stop of Hoodoo Brown BBQ in Ridgefield, CT (just south of Danbury).  The food at Hoodoo Brown is extremely good and we had a great time as well as having great food!  You must try the Bacon!!!

After we engaged in extreme overeating it was time to turn our front wheels south and head home.  We took the main roads on the way home and as a group we arrived on Long Island!

All in all, I clocked 8.5 hours, most on the motorcycle, and almost 300 miles in total.  We had sun, rain and beautiful roads with nice corners!  It was once again a great day with the Long Island BMW Riders Club!  Remember you don’t need a BMW to come have fun!!

Arthur also made a great video of some nice parts of the day including the covered bridge which was really nice.

Quote of the week

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
