Although there's nothing that beats riding, engaging in spirited conversations with those with more saddle time and knowledge of the sport is thrilling and educational. Only problem is to join in you've got to master the lingo, those words and phrases that fly above your head when everyone else laughs you smile to be polite. So you join in the fun and feign an understanding, of course not having the foggiest notion of what was just said. When in Rome...
